sneak peek wedding photos & some dresses that didn't make the cut (and the one that did!)!

Special thanks to our photographer, Rebecca Mabey!

And... now for some up close pictures of the dress and some of the dresses that didn't quite make the cut...

liked it, but no...

I really liked the neckline of this one

a favorite of some friends... but not mine.

This was actually my 2nd runner up - I LOVED the skirt!
See! Isn't the skirt so much fun?!
I loved that this one had pockets

Here's the one I ended up with :)

never do this.

So... this weekend Brian and I decided we wanted to go camping. Unfortunately, Friday night came and it was getting pretty dark before we ever even left the house. So, we decided that instead of setting up our tent, we were just going to sleep in Brian's geo.

His geo.

Don't know what that is? Well, it's a very small car that has the engine of your average go-cart. Here is a picture of one in case you were wondering....

Now, Brian's geo does not have tires quite that large. In fact, he had a flat tire once and I honestly couldn't tell which tire was the donut and which ones were just normal. Hehe - I love that carrito!

Anyway, so we took his geo up into the Sundance mountain range, parked it and camped out in his car. I think that Brian described that night's experience perfectly. We were like rotisserie hotdogs being cooked on flames of pain. Let me explain... every way we turned it hurt in different ways. So, throughout the night we just slowly turned circles so that different areas of our bodies could hurt (we had to be fair!). Anyway, it wasn't a very restful night and when we woke up we were ready to go home after a short walk through the canyon. I think next time it will be worth the effort of putting up a tent :)

Other events from this weekend... transporting our new couches (new to us anyway) with a minivan, finally went to our new ward for the first time, pioneer day in the park (so fun until I got food poisoning again!), pizookie night with Rebecca & Chris, and a delicious Sunday crockpot dinner and homemade bread made by my wonderful husband! Love him!

Yep, it was a good weekend. Just don't ever try and sleep in the back of a geo metro.

uh oh

So, I realized this morning that my near care-free summer days are slipping away rather quickly. School starts next month! AHHHH! I need to squeeze in lots more fun before that happens!! I am reading lots of books - the newest ones on my shelf are the Alchemist, Poisonwood Bible, Sense & Sensibility, Fishers of Men, and I just finished the Kite Runner. It's so nice to be able to read for pleasure instead of millions of textbook pages. Thank you summer. I can't wait for our family vacation in a few weeks! Oh, and graduation! Life just doesn't stop :)

ps. as of today I am a proud owner of a vacuum. I never thought I would be excited about something like that... oh well, I guess it's better to be happy about appliances than not!

pearce family reunion

This week Brian went on an internship business trip to Chicago and left me all alone for 3 whole days! When he got back we went straight to our family reunion at a campground up on Lehi. Unfortunately, we missed most of the fun and games, but we still had a good time and got to go camping! Yay! Saturday we went with some of his cousins and went to Lagoon.

I love that place.

It reminds me of when I was a kid and we were always so excited to go to Lagoon! Now there are many more rides, but I think my favorite is still the classic Fire Dragon! So fun.

On Sunday we went to Ryan's (a cousin) farewell. He's going to Zimbabwe on Wednesday. I wish I could go on a mission again soon - but it looks like I'll have to wait until I'm old.

Anyway, here are some pictures of this weekend's adventures!
We all put messages on balloons and sent them flying into the air so people can find them!

The little kids love Brian

Addyson might look like she doesn't want to be with us, but she's pretending - I promise!
At Lagoon!

It was really hot outside and these fountains were just the remedy - they went off to music, so that was super fun
After the destruction
Watching an acrobatic show

After the farewell with the cutest baby ever...

pics from the Honeymoon!

outside the condo at Bear Lake

FAMOUS raspberry shakes in Garden City - every restaurant claimed to have the famous one, so.... we tried almost all of them to find the best one. The winner? Merlin's Drive In!

skipping rocks - he was really good at it

mine just kind of plopped :/

After jet-skiing... we're a bit wind-blown!

haha :)

grilling on our condo's porch! DELICIOUS hamburgers - best I've had in a long time!

Pickleville playhouse - we saw Joseph and the Technicolored Dreamcoat - it was fabulous!

Then off to St. George where it was over 100 degrees outside! The temple was so beautiful!

We couldn't go to St. George without seeing Tuacahn's show! I was so excited that the Little Mermaid was playing - it's my favorite Disney movie! It was an incredible show!
