A new friend - I think she wanted my chocobanana....

I just got back from an exciting trip to CHICHICASTENANGO! The minibus was, once again, a treacherous and dangerous experience - but I am still alive and I am grateful. Chichi is famous for their GIGANTESCO market that they have every Thursday and Sunday. People from all over come to sell their stuff and sell it cheap. Well, they don't want to sell it cheap, but with our superpower bartering skills... we got some awesome deals! Brenna, Cory and I left this morning at 7:00 and we made it there around 10:00 after winding treacherous roads and listening to the almost-vomiting people from Spain in the back seat. I learned something new today... people in Spain speak a much different Spanish than people in Latin America. I could barely make out what they were saying! I guess if I become a European traveler in the future I'm going to have to practice.

My food poisoning is gone! Hurray! I can now eat my frijoles in peace. Thank heavens!

Let me know if you guys want anything specific as far as cool things from Guatemala go :)
